Teachers establish positive interdependence by establishing a mutual goal, joint rewards, shared resources, and assigned roles.

Each member of the group is accountable for their contribution to the group as well as the individual.

The group promote one another by sharing, helping and encouraging to work together.

The teacher emphasizes the social skills necessary to work effectively. These may be emphasized purposefully through natural environment teaching in the classroom.

Groups reflect on their work collectively as well as the teacher will provide feedback on how well the groups are working together.
